The Art of Being

The Art of Being is my space for storytelling, a project born from the desire to preserve and share my experiences.

It is a collection of moments, encounters and emotions fragmented between journeys and spiritual experiences.

This blog is my way of exploring, day after day, the art of being: learning to feel, understand, grow, and observe reality for what it is, with authenticity and awareness.

The mind precedes all phenomena.
They are mind-driven, mind-created
.

If one speaks or acts with a corrupt mind,
suffering inevitably follows,
as the wheel follows the ox that pulls the cart.
From the Dhammapada, Verse 1 – Translation and modern adaptation from the Pali text of the Theravāda Buddhist canon
Surya means Sun. In Hindu tradition it also represents divinity, life, awareness and enlightenment.

Mission

Inner Peace, Observation & Spiritual Growth

I remember a dawn four or five years ago. My body was preparing for the real wake-up call: I decided to take a dip. A little chilled, I took a sip of salt water, wiping my mustache. I was watching the sun emerge from the sea when I felt a spark, a sudden touch inside me: where had I really been until that moment? Perhaps my heart was buckling under the weight of all that salty light?

I breathe. Naked before the sea. Am I dying or am I alive?

Since then, I've become almost obsessed with trying to relive that feeling. I've succeeded, at times, by forcing myself to live in a colorful but unsustainable illusion. Can you really live life to the fullest all the time? And even if you could, why does sadness suddenly set in? How can I always be happy?

Over time, I've increasingly followed the "I don't know" philosophy, with one exception: regardless of the choices we make, we suffer, and it's okay to suffer.

What if the key was learning to be bad?

My mission is to explore and share what it truly means to be mindful and alive, in its infinite nuances. Through writing, meditation, and encounters with diverse people and cultures, I approach stories with respect and presence, allowing them to pass through me and transform me, so I can tell them.
For me, interviewing, observing, and engaging in dialogue are concrete ways of practicing The Art of Being: inhabiting the moment, embracing the light, and not fearing the shadows. Indeed, embracing nuance and recognizing even darkness as a natural part of the human experience.

I want to create a space where differences become enrichment, where voices can be heard with authenticity, and where every experience, personal or shared, contributes to expanding awareness, normalizing every type of sensation.

My aim is to cultivate connection and inner truth, so that the art of being does not remain a concept, but becomes a living, human, and shared journey of pure observation and storytelling.
